My name is LILLY.

I’m a Shetland Pony and I am 15 years old. I was rescued from market on the same day as my special friend Ginger although I was not as badly treated and terrified as he was. I cost Janet £8. All I can remember about that time is feeling ill, in pain and unwanted. I didn’t know where my Mother was, I needed her, I was only four months old and far too young to be weaned. My hind legs knocked together when I walked and my jaw was what they called undershot. It all made it difficult for me to try and eat. I curled up in a ball at the market and just wanted to be left alone to die in a corner. Janet brought me back here. This man arrived who checked me all over he was very quiet and kind. He told Janet that he thought I wouldn’t survive. I wasn’t about to let this chance slip by me and neither was Janet. Ginger and I needed each other I was determined not let him down. I wish my Mother could have come here too I don’t know what happened to her. Ginger and I have had 15 very happy and secure years together and I want us to have more. Please adopt me.
