Hello, my name is ARNIE.

I am 17 years old I have been here for 5 years and I just love it! I have a condition called low ring bone in my foot I will always be lame but Janet treats it and I’m not in any pain. For the last three years I have become quite blind but it doesn’t interfere with my enjoyment of life. My owner decided that because of the “Credit Crunch” – the sheep think it’s s new type of biscuit but I know almost at the cost of my life that it’s to do with money – had to sell me. I was taken to this frighteningly noisy place where men hit the horses and shouted a lot some horses were in terrible condition, emaciated and depressed. A man tried to buy me I didn’t like the look of him Janet appeared and offered my owner more money which he took. The horrible man has since been prosecuted for cruelty to horses. I think Janet knew him and that is why she stepped in and saved my life. I know I was a bit naughty at first Janet got a bit exasperated with me but I’ve settled down. I want to stay here with Janet and my special friend Mary where I know my surroundings - that’s important you know when you are blind. I certainly don’t want to run the risk of being bought by a horrible man again. Please adopt me.
