Bobbin and Flo were rescued from a farm when their owner passed away, leaving over 300 animals in need of new homes. With the prospect of these animals being sent to slaughter, a neighbour stepped in to find homes for as many as she could. Struggling to find anyone willing to take the goats, we agreed to offer them a safe haven.
Tiny, a much-loved goat, joined us in 2021 under heart-wrenching circumstances. He had been a beloved companion to his owner, who spent countless hours brushing, feeding, and talking to him. Their bond was deep and cherished.
However, the land Tiny had called home for many years was repurposed, and he needed a new, caring environment on short notice. We had a small goat-sized space available and were able to offer him the forever home that was so important to his previous owner.
Goats are notorious escape artists, and these three are particularly skilled at it! They are incredibly agile and can squeeze through the tiniest gaps. Although they never venture far and always stay within the sanctuary grounds, they certainly keep us on our toes.
We’ve learned not to worry too much if they aren’t in the exact field they’re supposed to be in; they always return, reminding us just how clever and determined goats can be.
