Rupert and Boris

These two brothers are Mangalitza pigs, a Hungarian breed, who were rescued as piglets. The conditions in which they were kept were extremely poor; they had very little space and were not receiving the proper food or any outdoor stimulation.

Although another home was found for them, it too proved to be unsuitable. Their rescuer had no choice but to bring them to her own back garden, where they lived for nearly two years until we had space for them.

Boris and Rupert are friendly boys who love nothing more than digging in the mud and relaxing in their wallow during the summer.
